Holiday Inn Express Offers Falcon-Friendly Expericence For BG Visitors
For Sales Director Christopher Miller, being able to serve the community through his work at The Holiday Inn Express, located on 2150 East Wooster St., brings a special sense of fulfilment to his work as he gets to help visitors and potential future students see all that Bowling Green has to offer. He was in their shoes himself at one time as he recently graduated in 2016 from the University with a Bachelor of Musical Arts.
He says serving the community through promoting what it has to offer to guests, and meeting the needs of the hotel’s guests helps reinforce the close-knot aspects that he has learned to appreciate about Bowling Green and the University.
“We try to cater to all of our guest’s needs. We have the fire school that stays here, and we try to cater to the guests so it’s individualized,” Miller said. And promoting Bowling Green adds to the desire to keep guest local as much as possible to support the community business base. “Anyone in the community supports what’s going on and I think that is really important because it helps people stay local, rather than going to, say, Perrysburg,” said Miller.

In 2016 the hotel was awarded the Torchbearer Award by the InterContinental Hotels Group, which demonstrates the hotel’s ability to satisfy guests and address issues that they may have. Holiday Inn Express features 73 guest rooms with standard sized rooms and suites. Complimentary breakfast and Wi-Fi are offered and this is the only hotel that is pet-friendly in BG. Additional amenities include a fitness center with an elliptical, bike, and treadmill. There is an indoor heated pool also available for guests. On-site guest self-laundry facilities is also available.
The hotel offers a Falcon Fan rate and it is a percentage off the best available rate that is posted. This is available for guests to book at any time, it just requires the guest to call in and ask for the Falcon Fan Rate. This is a community discount that focuses on the incoming families and visitors coming for an event at the college and is a way for the hotel to help out the college community.
