Childhood Passion Led Scott Feehan to Own Muffler Brothers
Scott Feehan has always had a love for cars. With more than 15 years of automobile experience he has successfully used his talents the serve Bowling Green automotive needs. That love for cars and a desire to fix them at fair prices has led Feehan to be the owner of the local Muffler Brothers store, located at 125 W. Poe Road.
“After receiving my first car to fix up at the age of 13, I discovered my passion for cars,” Feehan said, looking back on what led to where he is today. Muffler Brothers of Bowling Green opened in 1999 but it wasn’t until 2001 that Feehan became the owner. “In 1999, there were different owners. They eventually called me up stating that the BG shop was open and that I could become the owner,” Feehan recalls.
Muffler Brothers offers many different specialties, the biggest being custom exhausts. But the shop also offers coolant and heating repair, steering, suspension and electrical or engine tune-ups. They also offer oil changes for $18.95, as well senior citizen and student discounts.
Muffler Brothers has been serving Ohio since 1980 with 19 different locations. Their motto is to offer affordable and honest repair. Yet, all Muffler Brothers are independent and family owned shops.
“After working at other shops and seeing how unfair some places were to their customers, I knew I had to open up my own repair shop,” Feehan said. He makes sure to stick to the company’s motto, making sure that every customer is treated fairly with honest pricing. He has also gotten a lot of support and workers from his family.
“My younger brothers were working here as well, before they found different jobs. Now my wife is the receptionist while my son is a mechanic,” Feehan said. BBB company since 2009 with an A plus rating. The business is open 6 days a week offering full service auto repairs. They take appointments and walk-ins.
